Plan it before you cut the ply.

Lay out your drawers, fridge slide, water and power on a scaled plan of your ute tub or wagon boot. You'll see what clears the wheel arches, what it weighs against your payload, and roughly what it costs in NZD or AUD.

Real measurements

Floor sizes come from sourced specs and owner measurements. When we don't have a number we say so, and we don't guess.

Drag, snap, check

Drop in a drawer unit, fridge slide, jerry cans, battery box or bed platform. You'll get a warning if anything hits an arch or hangs off the floor.

Budget tiers

See a DIY ply, mid-range or premium parts list, then print a cut-list, build order and parts list for the shed.

Older rigs welcome

Covers 80 and 60 Series, Surfs, Troopies and common utes from the PX Ranger to the D-Max, with more coming.

Common questions

What is RigBlueprint?

RigBlueprint is a free, browser-based planner for laying out drawers, fridge slides, water, power and bed platforms in a ute tub, canopy or 4WD wagon/SUV boot. It is aimed at budget DIY builders in New Zealand and Australia.

Is RigBlueprint free?

Yes. The planner runs in your browser with no account needed.

Where do the vehicle dimensions come from?

From manufacturer spec sheets, motoring sites and owner measurements, with sources recorded. If we have no trustworthy number, we show it as not yet measured instead of guessing.

Which currencies are supported?

New Zealand dollars (NZD) and Australian dollars (AUD).

How much ply does a DIY drawer unit need?

A typical twin drawer unit for a ute tub or wagon uses about 2–3 sheets of 12 mm ply plus one 18 mm (17 mm in AU) top sheet. At Oct 2026 Bunnings prices that is roughly NZ$205–262 or A$163–209 in ply, before runners and hardware.

Which vehicles are covered?

Popular NZ and AU 4WDs and utes including the Land Cruiser 60, 70 and 80 Series, Hilux Surf, Patrol GQ, Hilux, Ranger, Triton, Navara, D-Max, BT-50, Prado and Amarok. See /vehicles/ for the full list.
